Starting at $26.81/hour, based on experience, education, and internal equitySchedule:

Comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, retirement with employer match, PTO, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave, wellness incentives, and employee discounts What You'll Do as a Radiology Technologist Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders Utilize technical expertise and clinical judgment to capture accurate diagnostic images Provide clear communication and education to patients and families regarding procedures Ensure patient safety through proper positioning and adherence to radiation safety standards Maintain compliance with ARHS policies, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes Participate in cross-training opportunities, including Computed Tomography (CT), as needed Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and alignment with UNC Health Appalachian's Mission, Vision, and Values Qualifications Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program Clinical radiographic experience from an AMA-accredited program Certification as RT(R) required Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required at hire Skills & Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to provide safe and effective patient care within scope of licensure Knowledge of imaging procedures and patient care standards Commitment to exceptional customer service and patient experience Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment Physical & Work Environment Continuous standing and walking for ≥ 8 hours per shift Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling ≥ 50 lbs Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and reaching Continuous hand, finger, and wrist dexterity with close visual attention Exposure to ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, including x-ray equipment Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hospital-related hazards Irregular hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities What Sets Us ApartCareer Growth:
