Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting patient care as an experienced IR Tech. This contract opportunity is designed for skilled imaging professionals who thrive in a dynamic hospital setting and are dedicated to excellence in interventional radiology.
Schedule:
12-hour day shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7am-7pm) Weekend-focused position Holiday coverage required On-call and call-back participation expected Floating to additional units as needed
Qualifications:
Current ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) with Interventional Radiology credential or eligibility Active and unrestricted state license or the ability to obtain before start Previous experience as an IR Tech in a hospital environment preferred Strong understanding of interventional procedures, safety protocols, and imaging equipment Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the care team BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain prior to start
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality interventional radiology imaging exams and procedures under physician guidance Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Operate and maintain imaging and interventional equipment effectively Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other departments to deliver optimal patient outcomes Participate in rotating on-call, call-back, and holiday schedules Float to other imaging units as required by patient volumes or department needs Uphold strict infection control and safety standards at all times Maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic documentation This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills to a dedicated team and provide exceptional care during high-need shifts.
