Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Travel Immerse yourself in the vibrant community of Lexington, NC—a destination offering a wonderful mix of historic charm, local eateries, and outdoor recreation at the gateway to the Piedmont region. Opting for a travel assignment here means more than a professional role; it's a chance to broaden your knowledge, strengthen your career, and discover unique experiences both inside and outside of the workplace. This assignment places you with a high-acuity interventional radiology department within a leading academic medical center—home to 8 specialized IR rooms and a diverse case mix averaging 45-50 daily procedures. You'll be equipped with advanced Siemens, GE, and Philips imaging systems, gaining hands-on exposure and collaborating with interdisciplinary providers, including neuroradiology and trauma teams. The collegial work environment, accentuated by a blend of seasoned staff and new graduates, encourages learning, mentorship, and adaptability to various leadership and workplace styles.
Schedule/Hours:
Flexible shifts: 3-12's (8:00-18:30), 4-10's (8:00-18:30), or 5-8's (8:00-16:30) 3-4 call days per month Every 5th-6th weekend call (Friday evening-Monday morning) Holiday rotation required (up to 75% coverage as scheduled)
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years recent IR Body/Neuro experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center BLS certification required, ARRT-R or RCIS Proven ability to scrub, circulate, and assist in complex procedures Comfortable mentoring or working alongside new grads EMR familiarity (EPIC Encompass preferred)
Responsibilities:
Perform scrubbing, circulating, and equipment operation for IR procedures Collaborate with RNs, techs, surgeons, and providers across neuro and body domains Support patient care in a high-volume, academic setting Adhere to leading practice standards, safety, and department protocols
