Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Step into an essential imaging role where your expertise in Interventional Radiology can make a significant impact on patient care. This contract position offers the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled medical teams while utilizing advanced imaging technology to aid in vital procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Interventional Radiology (IR) specialization Valid, current state licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist Demonstrated experience in IR imaging techniques and sterile procedure environments Proficiency in operating a variety of imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and digital angiography systems Strong knowledge of radiation safety and infection control protocols Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interacting with physicians, nurses, and patients Ability to quickly adapt to fast-paced situations and effectively manage multiple tasks
Responsibilities:
Prepare and operate imaging equipment for Interventional Radiology procedures according to physician instructions and established protocols Assist medical teams in performing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, and embolizations Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, providing clear instructions and compassionate care Maintain accurate documentation and patient records related to imaging and procedures Uphold strict adherence to quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards Regularly inspect and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any issues in a timely manner This rewarding position enables you to utilize your IR Tech skills in a collaborative, supportive environment focused on patient well-being.
