Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A vital role is open for an Interventional Radiology Technologist skilled in imaging to support a Level 1 Trauma Center with a robust academic and teaching environment. Situated in Winston-Salem, NC, this travel assignment offers the rare chance to work within a comprehensive stroke center that handles complex IR cases daily.
Core Responsibilities:
Assist and scrub in a high-volume Interventional Radiology department with 8 dedicated procedure rooms. Handle diverse cases including stroke intervention, cancer and tumor treatment, embolization, thrombectomy, and various drainage procedures. Collaborate closely with Neuro Radiologists, Neurosurgeons, Body Interventional providers, RNs, and advanced practice providers. Operate advanced imaging systems from Siemens, GE, and Philips; utilize EPIC Encompass EMR efficiently. Participate in department support tasks such as room turnover, paperwork, transport, and inventory management supported by tech extenders. Provide excellent patient care and support within a team-focused, educational atmosphere including precepting new grads as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of specific Interventional Radiology experience, including IR Neuro and IR Body, preferably at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Certification BLS; ARRT-R or RCIS required. Proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and equipment operation in IR settings. Comfort working with new graduates in a growing, green department. Ability to work required call shifts roughly 3-4 days/month plus weekend coverage every 5th-6th weekend. Flexibility to work holidays approximately 75% of the time when scheduled. Open to first-time travelers to this type of assignment.
Schedule Options:
3 shifts of 12 hours (approx. 0800-1830) 4 shifts of 10 hours (approx. 0800-1830) 5 shifts of 8 hours (0800-1630)
