1 Description American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with CT and general X-ray experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a rural Critical Access Hospital (CAH) in North Dakota. Details Acute care Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting in a rural environment CT/Radiology department equipped with 1 Toshiba CT scanner, 1 Siemens mobile X-ray, 1 Siemens general X-ray, 1 mammography unit, and 1 GE C-arm Wide range of general imaging studies performed; specialty exams are uncommon given the rural setting Candidates will cover both CT and general X-ray, including pain exams with the C-arm Average of approximately 20 exams per day on weekdays IV placement is required as part of the role McKesson PACS and
MEDITECH EMR
are used in this department 4x9-hour day shifts per week, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays Call response time of 30 minutes required No radiology supervisor or lead tech on shift; no in-house radiologist Requirements Active
BLS, ARRT
(R), and ND MIRT (North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy) certifications required; pending certifications are not accepted Experience in both CT and general X-ray is required Active state or compact (NLC) licensure required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted Driver's license required for consideration 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; those employed PRN through outside firms will be considered Additional Information Responsibilities include performing CT and general X-ray studies, pain exams using the C-arm, transmitting studies to the radiologist for interpretation, and completing associated documentation No clinical supervisor is on-site during shifts; candidates should be comfortable working independently Orientation consists of 4-8 shifts, or until the candidate is comfortable taking independent call Previous travel experience is preferred but not required; first-time travelers will be considered Self-scheduling and block scheduling are not available All requested time off must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after consideration Scrubs are required but no specific color is mandated; scrubs are not provided by the facility
