Seeking a Radiologic/Ultrasound tech, multi-modalities.
Full Time, 30-40 hours per week. Benefited position after 60-day waiting period.
Schedule Example:
Monday - Friday, 7am- 5:30pm. Share call weekdays 5:30pm-7am, weekends of call begin Friday at 5:30pm and end Monday at 7am. Share holiday calls.
Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist is in charge of performing X-ray examinations ordered by physicians, PAs, CNPs. They must work closely with the Physicians, PAs, NPs, Radiologists as well as other Radiology personnel and the Director of Radiology. They are in charge of keeping current with the department Policies and Procedures, as well as the Procedures set forth by the Radiologist group, Ordering Supplies, Equipment Maintenance and following Rules, Regulations and Guidelines for the Radiology Department
The Ultrasound Technologist is in charge of performing ultrasound examinations ordered by physicians, PAs, CNPs. They must work closely with the Physicians, PAs, NPs, Radiologists as well as other Radiology personnel and the Director of Radiology. They are in charge of keeping current with the department Policies and Procedures, as well as the Procedures set forth by the Radiologist group, Ordering Supplies, Equipment Maintenance and following Rules, Regulations and Guidelines for the Radiology Department.
Licensure/Education:
Radiology Tech must maintain credentials for themselves and remain in good standing and up to date on licenses with the ARRT and the State of Nebraska.
Ultrasonographer must maintain credentials for themselves and remain in good standing and up to date on licenses with the ARRT and the State of Nebrask
Training and Experience:
The Radiologic Technologist must attain two years of x-ray training in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology which qualifies them to take a national registry examination. Upon passing the registry examination, the technologist is then an American Registered Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) Two years of work experience in the field of Radiology in a hospital setting is preferred.
Job Knowledge:
The Radiologic Technologist must have a good working knowledge of anatomy, understand the principles of physics, electricity and methods of obtaining clearly defined images; and to be able to set up and operate equipment. They must know how to obtain diagnostic images. They must be able to maintain the system of records, scheduling patients, and checking charges.
