Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Enrollment in a formal Radiologic Technologist training program from an AMA approved school required BLS within 90 days of hire; must maintain during employment
Major Responsibilities:
Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices as needed to obtain optimum views of specific area of body requested by ordering practitioner. Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtains patient cooperation. Moves imaging equipment into specified position and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff. Operates mobile imaging equipment in emergency room or at patient's bedside. Operates film-processing equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Apply Now
