Position overview The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. As an orthopedic X-ray technologist , you take patient X-rays and perform medical imaging, carefully following protocols and ensuring patient safety. Your responsibilities include maintaining patient records, writing up monthly reports, and ensuring the X-ray device meets regulatory standards. You also adjust and set up radiologic controls and select ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis. Other duties may include preparing patients' X-rays for the physician, ensuring all radiologic equipment is clean and in working order, and requesting outside images for new patients with upcoming appointments. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures following established protocols Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during imaging procedures Operate and maintain radiologic equipment to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance Adjust radiologic controls and select appropriate ionizing factors for accurate imaging Manage and position C-arm imaging equipment during procedures Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation Prepare and organize imaging for physician review Ensure all radiologic equipment is clean, functioning properly, and meets safety standards Request outside imaging for new patients with upcoming appointments Assist with monthly reports and imaging documentation as required Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols at all times Qualifications Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program NJS Licensed Radiologic Technologist ARRT Certification (Required) Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and ASRT Strong knowledge of X-ray machines, imaging procedures, anatomy, and physiology Experience operating and positioning a C-arm Understanding of radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements Ability to properly position patients for orthopedic imaging studies Strong attention to detail and patient care skills Prior experience in an orthopedic practice preferred

Availability:

Part time 1 or 2 shifts per month. It would be the 1st and 5th (when applicable) Wednesday of each month from 9 am - 1 pm. NJ License only. Join our team as an X-ray Technician and contribute to delivering exceptional healthcare services through your expertise in medical imaging.r.
