X-Ray Technician (TEMP TO PERM)EMPLOYER
Progressive Spine & Orthopaedics SUMMARY:
Serves as initial contact for all patients visiting the office. Also serves as the X-Ray Technician which duties include explaining procedures to patients, calibrating imaging equipment and preparing results.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following instructions from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging. Talk the patient through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety. Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position. Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient. Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding. Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs, and placing orders. Keeps xray area organized. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of a JRCERTaccredited Radiologic Technology program Active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license required ARRT certification in Radiology (R.T.(R)) required A minimum of 2 years working experience in a healthcare facility as an xray or radiology technician preferred; however, not required. Current BLS/CPR certification preferred Strong knowledge of radiation safety infection control, and patient care protocols Excellent verbal and written communication skills to share updates with patients and other medical staff Superb customer service skills to provide ongoing support to patients and their families Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus Professional appearance and demeanor are always requiredGENERAL EXPECTATIONS

Be punctual with scheduled work and use time appropriately. Perform duties in a conscientious, cooperative manner. Perform required amount of work in a timely fashion with a minimum of errors. Maintain confidentiality and protect the Practice by abiding by laws and principles related to confidentiality; keeps information concerning Practice Operations, patients, and employees confidential.Pay Transparency Statement:
