Job Summary:
Vantage Medical Associates is seeking a dependable and experienced Per Diem Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to support our high-performing imaging team. This role provides coverage for scheduled outpatient procedures. Flexibility is essential, as coverage needs may vary day to day. This is a great opportunity for technologists who thrive in a team-oriented environment and want to contribute on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Scrub during IR procedures with IR physician, maintaining sterile technique Assist physicians in performing a wide range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Operate and maintain C-arm and ultrasound, as needed. Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile technique, and support patient positioning and comfort. Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, equipment use, and supply inventory. Maintain compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certification:
ARRT (R) required; ARRT (VI) preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
Licensure:
Valid state license as required.
Experience:
At least 2 years of radiology experience required; prior IR or cath lab experience required.
Certifications:
Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
