Job Overview:

Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of detail, such as: diagnostic/screening mammography procedures, localizations, and stereotactic biopsies. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school graduate Completion of an approved Radiological Technology Program that meets the requirements set by the ASRT and the Jersey Certification Board Minimum one year experience. Must be licensed by the Jersey State-DEP and registered by the ARRT (RT, R) (M)

Essential Functions:

• Produces diagnostic procedures in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Actively directs activities towards full compliance and accreditation with

ACR, MQSA, NJ

State DEP and TJC.

• Effectively uses A.I.D.E.T. and explains the procedure to the patients with asking pertinent questions regarding clinical information, history, D.O.B. and for female patients of reproductive age if they are pregnant or breast feeding and their LMP.
• Consistently assists the Radiologists and Surgeon in procedures in a professional and competent manner.
• Consistently adheres to all Radiation Safety requirements, including the use of radiation protective devices at all times.
• Consistently reviews scripts and orders with all pertinent and correct information.
• Consistently starts and completes all exams in a timely fashion.
• Orders supplies as needed for the department.
• Consistently follows direction given from Supervisor.
• Cover front desk.
• Answering phones, retrieving messages and faxing reports.
