University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year. Responsibilities University Radiology is looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Full Time MRI Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team. In this position, you will play a critical role in patient care and will float to our Northern, NJ Imaging Offices, located in Mapelwood, Linden, Teaneck, & Elizabeth.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care:
Greet patients, explain procedures to reduce anxiety, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
Imaging Excellence:
Position patients, adjust imaging equipment, and set exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to safety protocols.
Equipment Maintenance:
Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain imaging equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly.
Documentation:
Accurately document patient information and imaging results in
RIS/PACS
systems.
Collaboration:
Work closely with radiologists and physicians to provide essential diagnostic data. Varied shifts. •this position qualifies for float differential pay May be required to train in and perform remote MRI scanning. •Will be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols. Qualifications ARRT(MR) certification 3 - 5 or more years of MR work experience High-field magnet experience a must GE high-field magnet experience preferred Phillips, Siemens experience a plus Benefits University Radiology offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, vision & company-paid life insurance, 401k/pension, & profit-sharing plans, generous PTO policy which increases with years of service, and more.
Pay Range:
Pay range $42 - $55 Actual compensation is based on years of MRI experience, certifications, shift differentials, and operational needs. Candidates with advanced experience may be considered for higher compensation within the posted range. Join our growing team!
