The X-ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians and APPs in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. The X-ray Technologist ensures quality imaging, radiation safety, and efficient workflow in the clinic.Qualifications :
Required:
High School Diploma or GED Graduate from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology programPreferred :
Orthopedic or outpatient ambulatory experience strongly Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent New graduates from accredited programs will be considered with demonstrated clinical competenceCertifications and Licenses Required :
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)NJ License/DEP Scheduling Requirements :
Per Diem Weekday availabilityEssential Functions :
Operate digital X-ray equipment and associated PACS and EHR systems Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory standards Maintain appropriate inventory of imaging supplies and report equipment malfunctions promptly Position patient correctly to obtain optimal images which maintain the patient's comfort and safety Support daily clinic flow, assist with patient transport, and contribute to team-based care activities as needed Perform routine and specialized radiographic exams according to physician orders and established protocols Verify patient identity and imaging orders prior to the exam, document procedures accurately in medical record Other duties as assigned Other Things toKnow:
