Radiological Technologist Shore

Onancock, Virginia Overview This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

• Performs procedures by following and verifying orders from referring providers. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
• Verifies patient identity and reviews patient's medical record for appropriateness of exam or procedure.
• Provides education to patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
• Demonstrates efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
• Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
• Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
• Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements.
• Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors by adhering to safety policies.
• Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
• Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
• Functioning as a team member, the technologist is flexible in the work assignments, rotates to support all aligned imaging facilities when needed and assists with training.

Qualifications Education , ARRT (Required) Experience 1-3 years Recent relevant experience (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (Required) CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required) To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at https://www.riversideonline.com/careers.
