- Per diem AMI is seeking a Per Diem Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist to join the team!
This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient radiology practice. AMI offers the 401K retirement benefit to Per Diem employees. Offered rates increase based on years of work experience. The Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist is responsible for, but not limited to: Operates all imaging, survey, assay and computational image developing and patient-care related equipment in the office; Adheres to HIPAA policies and respects and protects patient privacy at all times; Performs all static, dynamic and invitro scans required on referred patients; Performs and documents all required radiation-related surveys per office policies as developed in conjunction with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, NJ Bureau of Radiation Health and the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations; Administers required radiopharmaceuticals to patients, either by injection or orally and is capable of inserting IV catheters; Assists patients on & off table. Uses appropriate lift assist devices as warranted; Participates in all staff meetings, in-service training programs and other announced meetings as per office policy; Obtains understanding of and applies office policies and procedures as they relate to both employee and patient safety and well-being; Performs other related technical and clerical duties to assure the proper, orderly and efficient operation of the Nuclear Medical Laboratory; and Performs all other duties as required and assigned. Available shifts include Monday-Friday, 7:30am-6pm and 7:30am-4pm as needed. This position may provide coverage in the Somers Point or Vineland office locations.
Eligible candidates are:
Graduates of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology Licensed by the NJDEP for Nuclear Medicine Technology Licensed by the NJDEP for Xray or Limited CT Fusion Registered or registry-eligible by ARRT in Nuclear Medicine Technology or registered by the CNMT registry Registered or registry eligible by ARRT in CT or Radiography Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification is required prior to the start of employment. Candidates must have the ability to administer required radiopharmaceuticals to patients, either by injection or orally. Candidates must be proficient in IV Catheter insertion. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required for success in this position, along with a demonstrated ability to provide a positive & impactful patient experience.
