Job Description

Job Summary The clinic of Roland K. Sanchez is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic X-Ray Technologist who can attend to patients for the back office, possesses good skills with patients on the phone and in person, assists with ordinary, urgent, or emergency support. The candidate must be able to file documentation to facilitate the smooth running of the healthcare environment to support the delivery of quality patient care. The job includes a significant amount of multitasking, office organization and bookkeeping. Having knowledge and experience as an X-Ray technologist are preferred. Duties include explaining procedures to patients, calibrating imaging equipment and preparing results. We are looking to hire a professional who understands the value of compassionate patient care. Responsibilities
  • Move patients through appointments as scheduled
  • Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
  • Flexibility to work on assignments to accommodate office as needed
  • Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
  • Talk the patients through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety
  • Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient
  • Follow correct techniques and procedure such as patient shielding
  • Maintain patient records and images
  • Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Keep up to date records of maintenance on equipment Education and Experience
  • High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred)
  • 1+ years' experience as a X-Ray technologist is preferred
  • X-Ray technologist training and certification preferred Skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Customer service skills
  • Adaptability, confidentiality and punctuality
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, general administrative and clerical procedures
  • Application of good spelling and language skills
  • Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
  • Working knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred
  • Bilingual-Spanish preferred
