Hospital-Based Position Overview:
A reputable hospital in Las Vegas is in need of an experienced Specialty Imaging Technologist to conduct advanced diagnostic imaging procedures in areas such as Computed Tomography (CT), mammography, and special procedures. This position is perfect for a technologist who excels in high-acuity settings and can provide top-notch imaging services while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform specialized diagnostic imaging tests in areas including CT, mammography, and interventional/special procedures Operate sophisticated imaging tools and utilize specialized techniques and software for precise diagnostics Prepare and position patients to ensure optimal imaging outcomes Administer contrast media and monitor patients for any adverse reactions Adhere to established protocols, safety standards, and infection control measures Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to aid in prompt and accurate diagnoses Maintain detailed records and uphold compliance with quality assurance guidelines
Qualifications:
Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program Active Radiology license in the State of Nevada ARRT Registration in Radiography National certification in a specialty area (e.g., Computed Tomography, Angiography, etc.) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association At least three (3) years of experience in performing CT exams, preferably in a trauma environment Experience with CT interventional procedures Solid background in high-volume, acute care, or hospital settings
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency with imaging technology, software, and diagnostic equipment Thorough knowledge of anatomy, radiography protocols, and contrast administration Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting Excellent patient care and communication abilities Keen attention to detail and dedication to safety and quality ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
Work Environment:
Setting based in a hospital supporting emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging needs Team-oriented, fast-paced department May require standing, walking, and moving patients and equipment as necessary
