Position Summary In this role, you will perform high-quality CT scans while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and excellent care. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality images Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond appropriately Follow radiation safety standards and maintain ALARA principles Ensure accurate documentation and patient records Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff Provide compassionate, professional patient care at all times Qualifications Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology Current Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists- Radiological Technologist Registry (ARRT) (R) New York State License as a "General Radiologic Technologist" and current New York State Department of Health certificate of registration as a Radiologic Technologist. BLS certification required within 90 days •1 year of experience as a staff technologist for Staff and Hybrid CT roles Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and radiation safety Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Benefits & Perks Pension program-CHS contributes 2-8% of our salary!
