As a traveling Imaging Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech, you'll have the unique opportunity to expand your professional expertise while exploring a beautiful part of northern New York. On your days off, enjoy scenic hikes, historic sites, and local cuisine, making your travel assignment as enriching personally as it is professionally.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm This travel position promises engagement with a diverse medical team and a broad patient population, fostering professional growth through learning different workplace practices and collaborative approaches to interventional radiology. You'll enhance your resume and skill set by handling a wide range of IR procedures and contributing to a supportive healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient care under the supervision of a physician within approved privileges Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver care for all ages Conduct a broad array of IR procedures: fluoroscopic barium studies, joint injections, paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drain placement, bone marrow and tissue biopsies, and breast biopsies Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists: prepare procedure rooms, manage equipment, and inventory Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and organizational standards Educate and support patients throughout their IR experience
Qualifications:
Graduate of a program recognized by the New York State Education Department Bachelor's in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred; RA or PA with radiology focus a plus Current ARRT certification in Radiography; advanced certifications in CT, Ultrasound, or IR desirable BLS required; ACLS preferred
