ON-CALL:
Administrative call to support SLH Radiology system coverage needs. SUMMARY Plans, directs, and supervises Specialty Radiologic Technologists. Maintains multi-modality radiologic services in accordance with established hospital, Federal, and State standards, assists the radiologist with difficult procedures, and performs general technical duties when the workload is heavy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assures compliance with current licensure/certification for all staff. Maintains accountability for the patient throughout and image quality in assigned supervisory areas. Attends Leadership meetings and cascades information to staff. Responsible for participating in the interview process and making recommendations Performs Annual Performance appraisals and ensures mandatory in-services are completed within the set time frame. Technologists are trained and provided with current updated procedural changes. Maintains equipment and supplies in accordance with hospital processes and procedures. Equipment malfunctions are reported immediately to the direct report and service personnel. Responsible for assigning studies to technologists and coordinating staff availability with other supervisors. Responsible for the imaging procedures of all patients in all areas as needed. Supervises employees on all shifts and ensures that all duties are performed. Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the
RIS/PACS.
Calls preliminary reports to doctor's offices or nursing floors at the request of the Radiologist. Responsible for reviewing and signing off on overtime submitted by staff. Excellent customer service behaviors will be expected, and employees will be held accountable thereof. Performs exams and other duties within the scope of licensure (either XR or US). Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Five years of previous work experience as a Radiologic Technologist/SonographeR (Either XR or Sonography)
For Radiologic Technologist:
2-year college certificate or equivalent. ARRT Registration NYS License in Radiologic Technology.
For Sonographer:
4-year college degree or equivalent RDMS registered

Prior supervisory experience

PAY RANGE
$33.50
00 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
