In this role, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical imaging techniques, comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, and proficiency with advanced imaging equipment. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services are delivered efficiently and safely. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient care through precise imaging and technical expertise. Responsibilities Operate MRI equipment to produce detailed diagnostic images of patients' internal structures while adhering to safety protocols and aseptic techniques. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and positioning them accurately based on the area of interest. Assist with specialized procedures such as interventional radiology, PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, fluoroscopy, CT, nuclear medicine, and sonography as needed. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems including Epic and EMR systems to document patient information, procedure details, and imaging results accurately. Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to review images for quality assurance and assist in preliminary interpretations when necessary. Follow strict infection control protocols during all procedures to maintain aseptic technique and prevent cross-contamination. Operate ancillary medical imaging devices such as X-ray machines, DEXA scanners, and nuclear medicine equipment when required. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and radiation protection guidelines throughout all procedures. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with advancements in MRI technology and medical imaging practices.
Requirements:
NY State Radiology License . Minimum 2 years of recent MRI Tech Experience . Active ARRT (MR), BLS AHA certifications. AL01
