Position Summary The Supervising Radiology Technologist will lead and oversee all operating room imaging services within the Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role combines hands-on clinical support in the operating room with departmental leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will take ownership of the imaging program, ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, support surgical teams with expert fluoroscopic imaging, and help drive operational excellence. This position requires a self-directed leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and team support. Key Responsibilities Provide intraoperative imaging support for surgical procedures using C-arm fluoroscopy and other operating room imaging equipment as required. Supervise the daily operations of the operating room imaging program and ensure efficient workflow. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical technologists to support safe and effective patient care during procedures. Ensure compliance with all radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation guidelines related to fluoroscopic imaging. Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for operating room imaging equipment. Coordinate equipment maintenance, inspections, and service to ensure operational readiness. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and best practices related to intraoperative imaging services. Provide leadership, training, and ongoing support to radiology staff assigned to the operating room. Maintain accurate documentation related to imaging procedures, radiation safety, and equipment performance. Serve as the department resource for operating room imaging protocols, equipment utilization, radiation safety training, and regulatory compliance. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service that supports the success of the surgery center. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Current ARRT certification required. Current state licensure/certification as required. Minimum of 3-5 years of radiology experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of radiology operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and effectively self-manage. Demonstrated ability to lead by example and foster teamwork.
