Hourly Pay Range:
$38.71-$50.18 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist to join a dynamic Radiology Department. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to departmental protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols. Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety. Screen patients for MRI safety requirements, including contraindications and implanted devices. Operate MRI equipment and related imaging technology to obtain diagnostic-quality images. Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any concerns or emergencies. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care. Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control policies, and regulatory requirements. Perform routine equipment checks and report any operational issues promptly. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Current certification/registration in Radiologic Technology required. MRI certification or eligibility preferred. Current BLS certification preferred. Knowledge of MRI safety practices, anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Experience Previous MRI experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging setting. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and PACS systems. Experience working with diverse patient populations and a variety of imaging procedures. Benefits Competitive salary package.
