D/E Pay Rate:
$2506.00 - $2583.00 New York licensed Radiology Technologists with ARRT who also perform Cat Scan and/or Mammography. As we are a smaller, rural hospital, our staff often needs to work across multiple modalities throughout the day. This Radiology Technologist opportunity is based in Westfield, New York, a picturesque community along the shores of Lake Erie. Westfield offers the charm of a small town with the added benefit of stunning lake views, rolling vineyards, and a welcoming, close-knit atmosphere. Known as part of New York's "Grape Country," the area features local wineries, farm stands, and scenic drives that make it an appealing place to both live and work. The location provides an ideal balance of peaceful, lakeside living and access to amenities. Residents enjoy nearby Lake Erie beaches, Barcelona Harbor, fishing, boating, hiking, and year-round outdoor recreation. Seasonal festivals, local arts events, and farmers markets contribute to a vibrant local culture. Westfield's position in Western New York also offers easy access to regional hubs like Erie, Pennsylvania and Buffalo, New York, for additional dining, entertainment, sporting events, and travel connections. The facility itself offers a community-focused care environment with modern diagnostic imaging equipment and a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and patient-centered service. Radiology Technologists here are valued members of the care team and are supported by collaborative relationships with radiologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals. The practice environment is designed to support technologists in delivering high-quality images and compassionate care to patients across the lifespan. In this role, you can expect to perform a wide range of general diagnostic radiographic examinations, including routine outpatient imaging, inpatient imaging, emergency department studies, and portable exams as needed. Typical procedures may include chest radiographs, skeletal studies, spine imaging, abdomen imaging, and fluoroscopic support for procedures based on physician orders and facility capabilities. Technologists are responsible for accurate patient positioning, technique selection, image acquisition, and ensuring image quality that meets diagnostic standards. Your typical day may involve checking imaging orders for appropriateness, verifying patient identity and consent, explaining procedures to patients, performing radiographic exams, ensuring radiation safety for patients and staff, and working closely with providers to prioritize urgent or emergent cases. You will use digital imaging systems and PACS for image processing and transmission, and you may assist in coordinating workflow with the radiology reading room and other departments. The work environment supports independent practice within established protocols, while still offering guidance from experienced colleagues and medical staff. Depending on the department structure, shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and weekend or holiday rotations. Patient volumes and acuity can vary, with a mix of scheduled outpatient exams and unscheduled inpatient or emergency studies. In a community setting, technologists often enjoy the opportunity to build rapport with patients and families, providing continuity of care and contributing meaningfully to the overall patient experience. This position is particularly well-suited for Radiology Technologists who appreciate working in a supportive, team-based environment where their skills are recognized and utilized across multiple patient care areas. The role provides the opportunity to strengthen general radiography skills, gain experience with diverse patient populations, and contribute to care in a setting where your work has a visible impact on the community.
