(R) Certification Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join a busy outpatient imaging team. In this role, you will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations while ensuring exceptional patient care, radiation safety, and image quality. You will work under the supervision of the Radiology Administrator and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic imaging services. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures following established imaging protocols. Prepare, position, and educate patients before and during examinations. Assist radiologists during specialized breast imaging procedures when needed. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mammography equipment. Ensure optimal image quality while adhering to radiation safety standards. Follow MQSA, ACR, and departmental quality assurance guidelines. Participate in quality control and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with excellent customer service. Perform additional radiology-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited Radiography program. Current New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License or Limited Permit. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography [RT(R)]. Current American Heart Association BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Completion of required mammography orientation, including: 40 hours of mammography training covering anatomy & physiology, QA/QC, and imaging principles. 25 supervised mammography examinations under an MQSA-qualified individual. Commitment to meeting continuing education requirements: 24 ECE credits every two years. 15 Category I Mammography CE credits every 36 months. Complete the ACR Image Gently and Image Wisely Radiation Dose Pledges during orientation. Preferred Qualifications ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification [M] (or willingness to obtain within one year of hire). Previous outpatient mammography experience. Experience with diagnostic breast imaging and special procedures.

$48.91 - $73.36 per hour
