MRI Technologist

As an MRI Technologist, you will perform routine MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages, health backgrounds and conditions. You will ensure they feel comfortable, safe and properly informed throughout the entire process, helping facilitate a welcoming and supportive experience. • A caregiver in this role could work 8's, 10's or 12's in day nights evenings and weekends plus call. 7:00 am - 12:00 pm.
• A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Prepare and check patients prior to MRI procedure.

+ Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of having MRI examination. + Verify and validate patient screening safety form. + Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA. + Perform venipunctures and maintain competencies. + Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment and exam. + Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam. + Assist with scheduling of patients. + Administer proper contrast related to patient having MRI exam. + Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS. + Complete after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork. + Immediately report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service. + Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility. + Process billing via RIS. + Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students. + Learn new technical information and skills. + Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions. + Potentially rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT + Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing +

• OR•Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.

T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways. + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross + Certification in

Magnetic Resonance Imaging:

R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire + Knowledge of Federal and State regulatories Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities

• Physical Requirements:

• + Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. + Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily. + Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.

• + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Pay Range
• Minimum hourly: $32.
