Job Description

Founded in 2003, as an independent diagnostic testing company, NDS Wellness has become the fastest growing provider in the metropolitan Detroit and tri-county area. We are a multi-specialty group specializing in cardiology, neurology, and radiology testing services to primary care practices. NDS Wellness consists of board certified physicians and a qualified staff that have more than twenty-five years of experience in testing, screening and allied medical services. We provide the highest level of diagnostic testing that offers convenience and the reliability physicians require for their patients. NDS Wellness has an exciting opportunity for Computed Tomography Medical Technologists in Cincinnati, OH performing exams for fire fighters. Under general supervision, the CT Medical Technologist performs computer tomography studies using a Toshiba Aquilion 64 scanner. Position is temporary starting June 8th for 4 weeks.
WE WILL TRAIN.
There will be another CT technologist there to train and work with you for the duration of the project. Job functions include, but are not limited to, preparing patients, positioning, setting parameters, and performing computer processing and displaying images. CT medical technologist will assist in developing protocol for patient studies and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
Required experience/skills:
Completion of a recognized educational program in Diagnostic Radiology or Computer Tomography Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT). Must maintain continuing education credits to maintain ARRT registration. Must possess and maintain BLS certification Knowledge of or experience with Toshiba/GE platforms Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment Patient Safety Preferred experience/skills: 2-3 years of experience in CT is preferred Computer Skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Essential Duties:
Explaining the CT process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards. Positioning, and possibly sedating, patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body. Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the CT process. Maneuvering the CT equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images. Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records. Monitoring CT equipment functions. Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses. Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.

8:30am-5pm - 5 days per week for 4 week project
