Job summary details:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist (RT) to join our team at our urgent care facility. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and professionalism to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients. We are looking for someone who is committed to patient care, safety, and quality standards in medical imaging.
Responsibilities:
Perform radiographic examinations, including X-rays, as ordered by healthcare providers, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort while adhering to safety protocols. Safely operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring it is fully functional and in compliance with safety standards. Accurately document imaging procedures and patient information, and collaborate with healthcare providers to assist with contrast media administration when needed. Evaluate radiographic images for diagnostic quality, repeating procedures if necessary to meet established standards. Assist in managing radiology supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly stocked and maintained. Educate patients about imaging procedures, address concerns, and provide instructions to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience. Adhere to infection control procedures and safety regulations, maintaining a clean, sterile, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent. State licensure or certification as required, along with CPR certification or ability to obtain it within a specified time frame. Proficiency in radiographic imaging techniques, equipment operation, and an understanding of radiation safety standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and assist in positioning and moving patients as needed. Capability to operate imaging equipment and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity. Willingness to work in a radiation-controlled environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
