Job Description

Cascade Surgicenter is looking to add a Radiologic Tech (RT) to our growing team of outstanding employees. Full-time or part-time schedules available. Located in beautiful Bend, Oregon, Cascade Surgicenter (CSC) is the region's premiere orthopedic and neurosurgery surgical center. We encourage you to apply to see for yourself what makes CSC a great place to work! The Radiologic Tech performs imaging procedures in the support of surgical and pain management patient care.
I. POSITION DUTIES A.
To utilize specialized knowledge of radiology procedures and techniques. 1) Knowledge of patient rights. 2) Strive to improve outcomes by respecting patients' cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual values. 3) Demonstrates knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and employee safety. 4) Demonstrates knowledge of daily quality testing and accuracy. 5) Demonstrates understanding of patient education regarding nature of procedure, duration, and necessary aspects from a technical viewpoint and confirmation of procedure. 6) Additional duties including but not limited to: any other duties as assigned. B. To perform the tasks of a radiology technologist. 1) Demonstrates ability to produce acceptable images throughout the procedure and exhibits proficient use of GE C-arms to produce acceptable images in a sterile OR setting. 2) Gathers supplies needed for specific procedures. 3) Processes digital images to PACS system.. 4) Evaluates clinical outcomes and modifies approach or recommends modifications in approaches to treatment in order to improve outcomes. C. To function effectively as a member of the team. 1) Adheres to policies. 2) Maintains flexibility in assignments. 3) Completes education and competency requirements. 4) Demonstrates professional, confidential, and courteous behavior. 5) Performs related duties as assigned. 6) Assists with stocking, preparation, and waste management. 7) Assists with specimen labeling and transport. 8) Patient transport assistance. D. To support Performance Improvement activities. 1) Insure continuity of care. 2) Complete on-going checklists and forms. 3) Maintains current CPR certification. F. Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS A. ARRT
Registered B. Graduate of approved Radiology Program
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively and be clearly understood by telephone and in person and writing. Must possess outstanding customer service skills, an ability to function independently as well as within a team, with moderate supervision.
