Full Job Description X-Ray Technologist Location:
Portland, OR Shift Schedule Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Job Summary The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic examinations to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients in an acute care hospital setting. The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, maintaining patient safety, operating imaging equipment, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure efficient patient care. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Active ARRT Certification required. Active Oregon Radiologic License required (or eligibility to obtain). Current BLS Certification. Minimum 1 year of recent X-Ray experience preferred. Acute care hospital experience preferred. Knowledge of radiation safety standards and imaging protocols. Experience with Epic EMR preferred. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders. Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images. Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently. Follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines. Verify patient information and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and support staff. Monitor patients during procedures and provide excellent patient care. Maintain imaging equipment and report operational concerns. Ensure proper image transfer and documentation. Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
