Job Description

Earn a $10,000 sign-on bonus when you join our team! UPMC offers a sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment. In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, provides technical expertise to multiple business units. Functions as a resource to staff to provide orientation, continuing education and protocol development. This position works from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with flexibility of hours. Includes weekend, holiday and call rotation. Will rotate to other sites as needed.
Responsibilities:
Assist with accreditation responsibilities. Responsible for tech quality assurance program and the reviewing and updating of protocols alongside of or in place of the lead technologists. Assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment Serves as a technical resource to technologists on a daily operational basis. Assist technologist with continuing education needs and participates as a peer delegate in staff annual performance reviews. Leads training on new techniques and protocols for research studies and collaborates with radiologists and researchers where applicable to identify new techniques and problem-solving resolutions. Creates and implements new training programs, where applicable, and assists with the startup of new offsite locations. Responsibilities for new locations include, but are not limited to, working on reporting systems, obtaining appropriate images and effectively communicating with attending physicians as well as co-workers and patients Performs all job responsibilities of the Diagnostic Tech I and Advanced Diagnostic Tech II. Attends advanced training sessions and seminars in order to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques and disseminates information to imaging departmental leadership and as a part of new hire orientation. Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology. 3 years Diagnostic experience required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified in Radiography. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire ARRT Certificate Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
