JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Manager, performs a wide variety of duties to provide diagnostic Radiologic services to hospital patients, both in-patient and out-patient, in accordance with physicians orders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
1. Graduation from an AHA approved school of Radiologic technology. 2. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. 3. Must be licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health/Radiation Control Program. 4. CPR certification required.
Experience:
Requires two years directly related student experience to become proficient in all duties performed
Skills/Abilities:
1. Ability to manage physically aggressive patients 2. Ability to transport patients from wheelchair or patient slide board to table 3. Ability to move portable x-ray machine to examination site 4. Ability to lift 30-35 pounds with assistance using good mechanical body position 5. Ability to wear protective lead aprons and lead gloves during examinations 6. Ability to perform tasks for a long period of time, i.e. special procedures 7.
