Job Description
Specialty registration (ARRT) in Mammography Current CPR Certification Previous experience in mammography and diagnostic radiology preferred. Working knowledge of equipment, procedures and protocols to be able to perform all mammography and diagnostic radiology exams. Possesses a thorough understanding of ACR Guidelines for Mammography and MQSA. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. Ability to manage patients during exam, follow oral and written instructions. Will be discreet and tactful in communicating with patients visitors and employees within the organization. Computer skills preferred. Majority of time is spent on feet with a substantial amount of pushing, pulling, lifting and positioning of patients and equipment. Position requires ability to lift objects heavier than 50 pounds. Worker must be able to adjust routine to accommodate patient or department without affecting departmental flow. Requires ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 15 - 60 minutes at a time.
