Job Description

Description:
As an MRI Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services using magnetic resonance imaging equipment. You'll work closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and compassionate care throughout the scanning process.
Responsibilities:
Maintain clinical competency in all MRI procedures and equipment operation. Properly identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocol for all exams. Review patient history and physician orders to apply appropriate imaging protocols, including contrast preparation and administration. Accurately document patient history and exam details in the electronic medical record. Present relevant clinical information to the radiologist prior to the start of each exam. Ensure accurate coding, tracking, and archiving of exams in RIS and PACS systems, and enter all related charges. Adhere to and promote MR safety standards within the department. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and coworkers, demonstrating respect and empathy. Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure efficient patient care. Clearly explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation.
Shifts:
This position will work rotating shifts: 6:30am-2:30pm, 7am-3pm, 9am-5pm, 1pm-9pm. You will need to be able to provide on-call coverage. May be subject to work other shifts/days based on hospital needs.
