For the Radiologic Technologist position, the job requirements include:
- Operating X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body
- Positioning patients utilizing immobilization devices
- Monitoring, recording and communicating as appropriate, utilizing easy-to-navigate computerized documentation systems
- Utilizing knowledge of any age-specific needs of a patient in relation to the performance of duties and responsibilities
- Practicing radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
- Following standard precautions using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Splinting and strapping patients as needed
- Explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns
- Assisting with patient registration, insurance verification, and normal daily office operations
