Summary:

The Limited Scope X-Ray Technologist provides diagnostic radiographic services in an ambulatory setting for patients age ranging from neonate to geriatrics. This role is responsible for performing limited cope x-ray (Core, Chest, Extremities, Skull/Sinus, Spine) in accordance with state regulations, clinical protocols and safety standards. Must be able to adjust equipment, determine proper voltage, current and desired exposure time distance, arrange immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patients; adjust lead shields; select proper detector, ensure proper cleaning and routine quality checks on equipment. Interacts with the radiology management system and participates in other clerical activities to ensure smooth workflow and provide documentation for the patient charge. May be required to obtain Medical Assistance Certification within a certain time frame and perform additional clinical or patient care duties as needed to support practice operations.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Completion of an approved Limited Scope Radiology program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Limited X-Ray Certificate or License - AART limited scope AHA BLS required
