Description Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Outpatient Imaging Director, Pediatric Manager, and/or Radiologist, performs a variety of procedures, including CT scans and invasive procedures and post processing.
Education:
Required:
A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program.
Reference:

Medical and/or hospital clinical experience required Basic computer experience required (1-2 years work experience or college level classes)

Prior hospital and/or physician office background Position Requirement(s):
License/Certification/Registration Required:
ARRT certified (compliant with all continuing education mandates) ARRT registry eligible (must complete within one year). Radiological student from an approved Radiology program that has completed all academic courses (must be registry eligible within three months and complete registry within one year). BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward.

Department Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Outpatient Imaging Director, Team Leader and/or Radiologist, performs a variety of procedures, including CT scans and invasive procedures and post processing. The position requires independent judgment and initiative in utilization of computerized tomographic equipment to create high quality diagnostic images. The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients seen in the emergency room department. The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's policies and procedures.
