Join our team as we expand into a newly awarded Mobile CT service line serving VA Outpatient Clinics across Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia. The ideal candidate is highly independent, patient-focused, and excels in delivering consistent, high-quality imaging in a mobile environment. This role requires daily travel to different client sites including locations 2+ hours away within the assigned Northeast Tennessee, Central Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky and Southwest Virginia regions. This full-time, hourly opportunity is ideal for a skilled Mobile CT Technologist with Siemens CT experience who thrives in a mobile environment and takes pride in exceptional patient care. Travel is a key part of the role, with daily assignment to VA outpatient clinics across Northeast Tennessee, Central Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, and Southwest Virginia, including locations 2+ hours away. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile CT Technologist with strong proficiency in Siemens CT systems to join our mobile imaging team at VA clinics.Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform high-quality, CT imaging using Siemens CT technology following physician orders, safety guidelines, and facility protocols.Operate Siemens tools and workflows such as CARE Dose4D, CARE kV, syngo CT, automated reconstruction, and other advanced image-optimization features.
Manage the mobile CT unit, including daily setup, warm-up, QA testing, system checks, and coordination of routine maintenanceTravel to and adapt to different client locations each day, navigating varying facility layouts, patient volumes, and workflows.
Provide compassionate, safe patient care including positioning, preparing patients, and ensuring comfort and dignity throughout the scan.
Review acquired images for diagnostic quality and perform post-processing.
Document all exams in
PACS/RIS/EMR
accurately and in a timely manner.Collaborate with onsite staff, dispatch and leadership teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Maintain strict adherence to all radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards.
Identify, troubleshoot and escalate equipment issues promptly.
Provide backup coverage during off weeks for staffing needs, absences, or increase in volume.
Job Requirements Skills Education:
RequiredARRT certification in CT; CT certification required per state regulations.Active state Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable).Current BLS/CPR certification, immunizations and TB test and ability to pass VA background checkValid drivers license and clear driving record
Preferred:
12 years of CT experience with strong proficiency on Siemens platforms. Prior mobile imaging experience is a plus.Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Siemens syngo workflows and dose-management tools (CARE Dose4D, CAREkV Ability to manage imaging tasks independently in a mobile environment.Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills and compassionate patient-care approach., Excellent adaptability, problem solving, and autonomous decision-making.Ability to represent the organization professionally at multiple external sites.
Working ConditionsExtensive daily travel using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).Some client locations may require 2+ hours or more of travel.
Work environments vary, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and specialty centers.
Must be able to assist with patient transfers and lift up to 50lbs regularly and up to 75lbs on occasion (or per role requirements).Exposure to a variety of clinical settings, patient populations and staff teams.
Physical and Intellectual Requirements:
Manual dexterity for manipulating small items. Able to handle standing, walking and sitting for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals; good eye-hand coordination; fair eyesight (with or without correction lenses); normal hearing in at least one ear (hearing range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz); ability to analyze situations, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; effective organizational skills; a commitment to continuous learning; an ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.PHC offers a competitive compensation package and superior benefits.
