Job Description As a Radiology Technologist in our orthopedic clinic, you will play a critical role in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment by producing high-quality imaging studies while ensuring a safe and comfortable patient experience. Essential Functions Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency across clinical and technical functions Ensure proper patient identification, verify orders, and prepare patients for exams Perform imaging procedures according to department protocols Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy prior to submission Adhere to radiation safety standards and maintain a safe working environment Complete studies efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care Assist in training and guiding students and fellow Radiology Technologists Provide clear patient education, ensuring comfort and addressing questions or concerns Follow infection control and sterile technique protocols Operate imaging equipment and associated systems to ensure optimal image quality Accurately document patient information, procedures, and any adverse reactions Follow established protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, and quality control Report equipment issues and participate in maintaining operational readiness Skills & Competencies Strong anatomy knowledge and image evaluation skills Proficiency in equipment operation and electronic imaging systems Understanding of contrast protocols and emergency response procedures Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team Effective communication and patient interaction skills Strong prioritization and organizational skills Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment Minimum Qualifications ARRT (R) certification required Current Radiologic Technologist license in state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform MA-related duties in a clinic setting Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.) May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time. Location:
