Job Description

Summit Diagnostic Imaging Center at Fountain City is recruiting for a CT Tech Assistant. This is a full time opportunity. The Tech Assistant will provide assistance in clinical and clerical functions, to help improve workflow in the CT Departments. Due to the nature of this position, good attendance and punctuality are essential needs of the position. Examples of Duties (List does not include all duties assigned) Maintain CT schedules covering the next 72 hours of operation in all locations. Track patient's lab values and ensure labs are available for exam within the last 42 days. Task provider's office to ensure lab draw appointments is scheduled. Request, Track, and Import outside images from multiple regional facilities. Send needed exams via DICOM push or disc to requesting non-summit providers. Contact non-summit facilities to gather lab values and orders several days before the scheduled exam here at Summit. Performs tasks while displaying excellent customer service and ability to work well with others. Communicates promptly and effectively with supervisor, especially re: work schedule. Maintains strictest confidentiality both internally and externally. Adheres to the corporate compliance plan and policies. Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients. Performs related work as assigned. Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience One year of medical office / clinical experience with patient care preferred.
