Clinical Supervisor Job Summary:
Performs a variety of MRI procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries.
Job Responsibilities:
Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Prepares, performs, and assists the physician in magnetic resonance imaging procedures. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited education program in
Radiology Licensure/Certification/Registration:
ARRT Registered Technologist, RT (R), RT (MR), required. TN State license required. CPR Certification required.
Required Experience:
One year related experience preferred.
Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action in volatile situations.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Performance Criteria:
Ability to work with a team approach toward providing quality of patient care Ability to respond to the needs of the department and the patient in a busy environment Ability to follow instructions given by physicians and supervisor
Physical/Mental Demands:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds and push and pull several hundred pounds Environment can be very busy and stressful Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people Work may require hand dexterity for Radiology equipment, stooping and bending to retrieve files and supplies Must have mobility to room patients, help patients onto table, complete errands This position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.
