Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- + Associates of Applied Science OR Graduate of an accredited Radiology program + Enrolled in or have completedsecond Imaging Modality program
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS
- + Certification from one of the following credentialing organizations: + American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - (ARRT)(R), + American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), + American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RVT-VT), + Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or + American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) + Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable.
+ Registry in a second modality must be completed within 18 months of hire or transfer date. + American Heart Association BLS.
Preferred Qualifications:

- + Associate's Degree - Strongly Preferred + Three - six months experience in the Secondary Imaging Modality + Experience and/or Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)

JOB DESCRIPTION

- The Multi-modality Technologist I provides quality imaging and patient care within two (2) medical imaging modalities in any combination.
Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider. The Multi-modality Technologist I will meet all of the qualifications and requirements for the modalities in which they are certified and will work a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality. The position may require flex shifts and support at different UTMB Campuses.

- + High School Diploma or GED + Three (3) Years' Experience in the Primary Imaging Modality + One (1) Year Experience in the Secondary Imaging Modality
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS
- + Two (2) Certifications from one or more of the following credentialing organizations: + American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), + American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), + American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Vascular Technologist (RVT-VT), + Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or + American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
