Hospital Pkwy, Bedford, TX 76022 Work hours: Weekdays 7a-4:30p (4-9 hour shifts) Weekdays, 36 hours, 4- 9 hour shifts 7
- 4:30 (Mon and Fri required, tech can choose Tues, Wed, or Thurs as off day). Call is required but it is self-scheduled. You must be within thirty (30) minutes of the hospital. Call schedule is Friday at 5p
- Sunday at 5p.

Associate Degree in Applied Science required or Completion of an accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology required or High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years' work experience in invasive cardiology requiredExperience:
One (1) year IR or Cath Lab experience preferred Two (2) years' experience with high school diploma requiredLicensure and Certifications:
ARRT- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required and GMRT-General Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT only upon hire preferred or RCIS
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program) upon hire required and LMRT
- Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist if RCIS Only upon hire preferred or RCES
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) only) upon hire required and BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required and ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
What You Will Do:
Interventional Radiology (IR) is a medical specialty where various minimally invasive procedures are performed using medical imaging guidance such as fluoroscopy, CT, or ultrasound. These procedures might be for biopsy, diagnosis, or intervention. TH HEB supports a hybrid IR/OR suite and works directly with our Radiology care unit. The Interventional Radiology (IR) technologist supports a wide range of complex, specialized procedures, including the operation of fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), laser, and ultrasound equipment during vascular and interventional cases. Responsibilities include accurately and safely positioning patients to ensure optimal image quality, maintaining strict sterile technique, and performing post-processing of images obtained during procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and a high level of independence in managing a dynamic workload. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, ensuring radiation safety, providing patient education, and assisting with patient care within the scope of practice. Additional responsibilities include preparing and maintaining sterile supply trays, assisting with the handling and passing of guidewires, catheters, and other sterile instruments during procedures, as well as managing inventory and coordinating schedules.
