Job Description

Where You'll Work St. Luke's Health-Brazosport Hospital is located on a beautiful, 25-acre campus in Lake Jackson, Texas. Offering state-of-the-art diagnostic and comprehensive treatment services, our hospital is home to a 154-bed patient tower, level III trauma center, advanced cardiac care center, and full-service, multidisciplinary cancer center. Our team consists of over 100 board-certified physicians and nearly 600 highly skilled employees to meet our patients' medical needs. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses. Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history. Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and ensures requisite documentation. Problem solves equipment failure and contacts appropriate personnel regarding equipment problems. Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards. Completes all quality checks and ensures that equipment logs are maintained Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure Job Requirements Required One (1) year of experience
Medical Radiographer:
TX Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, or Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, or Registered Technologist Mammography, or Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Registered Technologist Quality Management, or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, or Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography Preferred Associate's degree
