Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a versatile MRI Technologist with additional expertise in Radiologic Technology (X-ray) to join our outpatient imaging clinic. This hybrid role will be responsible for conducting high-quality MRI scans as well as performing diagnostic X-ray procedures as needed. This hybrid role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, along with excellent patient care skills. The technologist plays a vital role in diagnostic evaluation and supporting physicians with accurate imaging results to facilitate effective patient treatment plans. This position is perfect for a skilled technologist looking for variety in their work and the opportunity to expand their clinical experience. Duties Operate MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes Prefer technologist who can perform x-ray imaging exams as needed Ensure proper patient positioning and comfort during imaging procedures Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety Review imaging results for quality and accuracy before submitting them for physician review and interpretation Assist in the preparation of patients by explaining procedures and addressing concerns Adhere to all safety protocols related to radiation and magnetic field exposure Document all procedures accurately in patient records and maintain confidentiality at all times Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support diagnostic evaluation processes Requirements ARRT certification in MRI (required) ARRT certification in Radiography (X-ray) (required) State licensure as required for both MRI and X-ray BLS/CPR certification Strong knowledge of MRI safety and X-ray imaging techniques Excellent communication and patient-care skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to imaging procedures Experience with medical imaging equipment operation and maintenance Effective communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care Ability to act as a mentor and role model for junior technologists, assisting with training and providing guidance on best practices Prior experience working in outpatient settings is preferred but not required This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient care through advanced imaging technology while working within a collaborative healthcare environment.
