Job Description

Brand new single-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an experienced fulltime Radiology Technician (RT) specializing in Fluoroscopy The RT will coordinate and provide patient care, to adult patients, in accordance to established and accepted standards of care, policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and accepted accreditation standards. Primary responsibilities of the RT include: Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging Talk the patient, as applicable, through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding Keep good patient records Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders Maintain a safe and clean working environment The RT must have a minimum of two years' experience in fluoroscopy and graduated from an accredited school. Certification is preferred. BLS required. The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently as well as function within a team; have the ability to assess patient needs, determine priorities; present good public relation skills; and possess the ability to handle stress. Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technician school required and specified training in fluoroscopy. National Certification preferred.
