Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Radiology Technician (must be willing to cross train in CT) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of medical imaging techniques and demonstrate proficiency in various diagnostic procedures. As a Radiology Technician, you will play a vital role in capturing high-quality images that facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care within a dynamic clinical environment. Duties Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort while adhering to aseptic techniques. Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to determine appropriate imaging protocols based on clinical indications and patient needs. Ensure all imaging procedures comply with safety standards, including radiation safety protocols and infection control measures. Assist in diagnostic evaluation by analyzing images for clarity and accuracy before submitting them for interpretation. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment calibration records. Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills. Support emergency room staff by providing rapid imaging services during urgent care situations and trauma cases. Qualifications Proven experience in diagnostic radiology. Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately position patients for various imaging modalities. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to radiology and diagnostic evaluation processes. Demonstrated expertise in aseptic technique and infection control practices within clinical settings. Experience working in emergency medicine environments is highly desirable. Excellent understanding of radiation safety standards and protective measures for patients and staff. Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment reliably while maintaining high standards of image quality. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
