Job Description

CT Technologist (Weekdays Only - 4x10 Schedule)
Position Title:
CT Technologist Department:
Radiology/Imaging Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week (Weekdays Only)
Location:
Alliance MRI Clear Lake/Houston MRI Friendswood Position Summary The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service. This position works closely with radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide accurate diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform CT examinations according to established protocols and physician orders. Ensure proper patient identification and verify exam orders before imaging. Prepare and position patients for CT procedures. Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Maintain patient safety and comply with radiation safety standards. Operate CT equipment and perform quality control procedures. Accurately document patient information and exam details in the
RIS/PACS
systems. Communicate effectively with radiologists regarding protocol questions and urgent findings. Maintain imaging equipment and report any operational issues. Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and coworkers. Assist with scheduling and workflow management as needed. Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, ACR, and company policies and procedures. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R). ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred or obtained within designated timeframe. Current Texas Medical Board MRT License. Current BLS certification. Minimum one year CT experience preferred. Experience with contrast administration preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to assist and transfer patients when necessary. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. Ability to operate imaging equipment and computer systems.
