Job Description

Position Summary:
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. This role ensures patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while delivering accurate diagnostic images for interpretation. This position will be a float between our Clear Lake facility and our Friendswood facility. This person will work 4-10's. Two days in Clear Lake and two days in Friendswood.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform CT scans following physician orders and departmental protocols. Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting minor technical issues as needed. Administer contrast agents under appropriate supervision and monitor patient response. Verify patient identification and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control guidelines. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal image quality. Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients throughout the procedure. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Certification:
ARRT (R) and (CT) certification required. State licensure (if applicable).
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered. Essential Requirements Associate's Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or similar field State licensure Current ARRT/CT certification. Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Excellent customer service skills ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Flexibility in scheduling
